India tour of New Zealand 2-match Twenty20 International 1st T20 cricket match played between India and New Zealand at Christchurch in 2009 - New Zealand win by 7 wickets with 7 balls spare.

India's innings fell away after a blazing start by dangerous dashing opener Virender Sehwag hit the first three balls for three sixes in the first over of the match.

Suresh Raina played magnificent 61 off 43 deliveries, Yusuf Pathan important 20 and Harbhajan Singh 21-runs helped to India set the 162 for 8 in 20 overs.

While New Zealand chasing 163 they lost 1-run for 1 wicket with Jesse Ryder leg before wicket by Ishanth Sharma in the 2nd over.

After Ryder exit, Martin Guptill played quick fire innings - He was scored a 41 off 28 deliveries with strike rate of 146.42 including 4 fantastic fours and 3 tremendous sixes.

Brendon McCullum played support role with Guptill - both added important 55-runs stand for second wicket.

Guptill leg before wicket by Harbhajan Singh in the 7th over, Ross Taylor scored a 31 with 3 sixes and 1 four - He was bowled out by Zaheer Khan.

After Taylor exit, McCullum took charge during the final overs, reached his half-century and ensured New Zealand won with seven balls to spare.
