Three-wicket hauls from debutant Seth Rance and Tim Southee after Half-centuries from Glenn Phillips and Colin Munro helped to New Zealand comprehensive 47-run victory over West Indies and take a 1-0 lead in the first T20I.

New Zealand scored 187-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Glenn Phillips 56, Colin Munro blasted a 53 off 37-balls including 6-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 143.24.
Mitchell Santner cracked a unbeaten 23 off 11-balls including 2-fours & a six with strike-rate of 209.09 and Ross Taylor 20.
West Indies best bowler by Carlos Brathwaite, Jerome Taylor both takes 2-wickets, Samuel Badree, Ashley Nurse and Kesrick Williams each took one-wickets.
West Indies scored 140 for all-out in 19 overs with top scorer by Andre Fletcher struck 27 off 25-balls including 3-fours & a six, Carlos Brathwaite hit 21 off 14-balls included 2-sixes with strike rate of 150.
Ashley Nurse blasted a unbeaten 20 off 9-balls including 2-fours & a six with strike-rate of 222.22, Jerome Taylor hit 20 off 10-balls included 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 200 and Shai Hope 15.
New Zealand best bowler by debutant Seth Rance - who took 3-wickets on his debut T20I match, Tim Southee takes 3-wickets, Doug Bracewell took 2-wickets and one for Mitchell Santner - Ish Sodhi.
Glenn Phillips named Player of the match for his spectacular batting & fielding display took three catches after scoring a superb 56 off facing 40-balls including 4-fours and 2-sixes with strike rate of 140.
