Shai Hope's unbeaten century, Shamarh Brooks and Brandon King's impressive fifties leads to West Indies convincing seven-wicket victory over Netherlands and take a 1-0 lead in the first ODI.

  • 11 : Shai Hope equalled a joint fourth most centuries hit for West Indies in One-day internationals, jointly with Gordon Greenidge, Viv Richards and Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
  • Shai Hope became the first West Indian batsman to score a hundred against Netherlands in One-day international cricket history.

Netherlands scored 240-7 in 45 overs with top scorer by Debutant Teja Nidamanuru - who cracked a unbeaten 58 off 51-balls on his debut ODI match - including 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 113.72.

Vikramjit Singh struck 47 off 45-balls including 6-fours & 2-sixes, Max O'Dowd scored 39 off consuming 69-balls included a boundary and Bas de Leede 17.

West Indies best bowler by Akeal Hosein, Kyle Mayers both took 2-wickets, Alzarri Joseph, Hayden Walsh and Anderson Phillip.

West Indies chased 249-3 in 43.1 overs with top scorer by Shai Hope 119 not out off 130-balls - which was his 11th ODI hundred and his first century against Netherlands in ODIs.

Shamarh Brooks struck 60 off 67-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes and Brandon King cracked a unbeaten 58 off 51-balls included 5-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 113.72.

Netherlands best bowler by Logan van Beek took 2-wickets and one for Aryan Dutt.

Shai Hope named Player of the match for his match-winning superb batting performance to scored a unbeaten 119-runs knocked off facing 130-balls including 12-fours and 2-sixes.
