Doug Bracewell and Adam Milne's combined 5-wickets before Martin Guptill's century and Tom Latham's half-century steers to New Zealand comfortable eight-wicket victory over South Africa and level the series with 1-1 in a low-scoring game of the second ODI.

New Zealand chased 205 was their tenth highest successful run-chase against South Africa in South African soil in One-day internationals. Martin Guptill became the seventh New Zealand batsman to score a hundred against South Africa in One-day internationals. 126 : Martin Guptill and Tom Latham set up the record first-wicket partnership for New Zealand against South Africa in One-day international, previously held by the 114-run stand between Mark Greatbatch and Rod Latham at Auckland in 1992 and New Zealand's joint fifth highest any-wicket stand against South Africa in ODIs, jointly 126-run stand for the third-wicket held by between Hamish Marshall and Scott Styris at Dunedin in 2004. 54 : Farhaan Behardien and Vernon Philander set up the joint third highest seventh-wicket partnership for South Africa against New Zealand in One-day international, jointly 54-run stand held by between Jacques Kallis and Shaun Pollock at Hobart in 1997.

South Africa scored 204 for all-out in 49.3 overs with top scorer by Farhaan Behardien struck 70 off 87-balls including 5-fours & a six.

Rilee Rossouw cracked a 39 off 51-balls including 5-fours, AB de Villiers hit 31 off 45-balls included a boundary and Vernon Philander scored a unbeaten 30 off 49-balls including a four.

New Zealand best bowler by Doug Bracewell picked up 3-wickets, Adam Milne took 2-wickets and one for Grant Elliott - Ish Sodhi.

New Zealand chased 207-2 in 44.3 overs with top scorer by Martin Guptill 103 not out - which was his 9th ODI hundred and his first century against South Africa in ODIs.

Tom Latham cracked a 64 off 81-balls including 8-fours and George Worker 20 not out.

South Africa best bowler by Aaron Phangiso and Imran Tahir each took one-wickets.

Martin Guptill named Player of the match for his match-winning magnificent unbeaten 103-runs knocked off facing 134-balls including 9-fours and 3-sixes.
