Suryakumar Yadav's sparkling 53-ball 78 and Tilak Varma's quick-fire 18-ball 34* before Three-wicket hauls from Jasprit Bumrah and Gerald Coetzee helped to Mumbai Indians hard-fought 9-run victory over Punjab Kings, despite a stunning fightback from Shashank Singh's 25-ball 41 and Ashutosh Sharma's 28-ball 61 in a see-saw game of the 33rd match of a Indian Premier League.

  • Mumbai Indians' 9-run win was their joint 12th smallest victory by terms of runs in Indian Premier League and It is their third narrowest win against Punjab Kings in IPL.

MI scored massive total of 192-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Suryakumar Yadav struck 78 off 53-balls including 7-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 147.16.

Rohit Sharma hit 36 off 25-balls including 3-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 144, Tilak Varma hammered a unbeaten 34 off 18-balls included 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 188.88.

Tim David struck 14 off 7-balls including 2-fours & a six with strike rate of 200 and Hardik Pandya scored 10 off 6-balls included a boundary.

PBKS best bowler by Harshal Patel picked up 3-wickets for 31-runs in 4-overs, Sam Curran took 2-wickets and one for Kagiso Rabada.

PBKS 14 for 4 to scored 183 for all-out in 19.1 overs with top scorer by Ashutosh Sharma hammered a 61 off 28-balls including 7-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 217.85.

Shashank Singh blasted a 41 off 25-balls including 3-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 164, Harpreet Brar struck 21 off 20-balls included 2-fours & a six and Harpreet Singh scored 13 off 15-balls contained 2-fours.

MI best bowler by Jasprit Bumrah picked up 3-wickets, Gerald Coetzee captured three-wickets for 32-runs in 4-overs, Shreyas Gopal, Hardik Pandya and Akash Madhwal each took one-wickets.

Jasprit Bumrah named Player of the match for his pace bowling attack to picked up 3-wickets for 21-runs in 4-overs.
