Bangladesh scored 178-9 in 45 overs with top scorer by Athar Ali Khan hit a career-best unbeaten 78 off 95-balls, Minhajul Abedin cracked a 33 off 50-balls and Faruque Ahmed 12.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Sanath Jayasuriya captured two-wickets, Champaka Ramanayake, Asanka Gurusinha, Debutant Pramodya Wickramasinghe, Don Anurasiri and Aravinda de Silva each took one-wickets.

Athar Ali Khan named Player of the match for his fighting batting performance to smashed a career-best unbeaten 78 off 95-balls including 6-fours and 3-sixes.
