Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja's centuries, Yashasvi Jaiswal's record second double-century and Shubman Gill's 91 gives India's record 434-run victory over England and go up 2-1 lead in a historic one-sided game of the third Test match.

  • India's 434-run win was their largest victory by terms of runs in Test cricket history, previous biggest win by 372-run against New Zealand at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai in 2021.
  • England's 434-run defeat was their second worst by margin of runs in Tests after their 562-run defeat against Australia at The Oval in 1934.
  • 204 : Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja set up the third highest fourth-wicket partnership for India against England in Test matches and the India's 13th highest fourth-wicket stand in Tests.
  • Ravindra Jadeja became the third Indian player to score 3000 or more runs and take 250 plus Test wickets after Kapil Dev's (5248-runs & 434-wickets) and Ravichandran Ashwin' 500+ wickets and 3308 runs).
  • Ravichandran Ashwin became the second Indian bowler to take 500 Test wickets after Anil Kumble's 619 scalps.
  • India's 445 was their second highest score against England at Rajkot in Tests after their 488 in 2016.
  • 77 : Dhruv Jurel and Ravichandran Ashwin set up the eighth highest eighth-wicket partnership for India against England at their home venue in Tests.
  • Sarfaraz Khan equalled a 48-ball joint second fastest fifty by an Indian debut batsman in Test matches, jointly with Hardik Pandya. The record holds to Yuvraj of Patiala, who hit to a 42-ball hakfc against England in 1934.
  • Ben Duckett equalled a 88-ball joint eighth fastest century for England in Test matches, jointly with Kevin Pietersen and the fastest hundred by an England batsman against India in Tests, surpassing the previous record of 95-ball century held by Graham Gooch at Lord's in 1990.
  • Yashasvi Jaiswal became the first Indian batsman to scored two double centuries against England in Tests cricket history.
  • Yashasvi Jaiswal plundered 214* was his highest score for India in Test matches and the seventh highest-score by an Indian batsman against England in Tests.
  • Yashasvi Jaiswal became the 13th Indian batsman to scored two double centuries in Tests matches.
  • 12 : Yashasvi Jaiswal hit the most sixes in an innings for India in Test cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 8-sixes jointly hit by Navjot Sidhu against Sri Lanka at Lucknow in 1994 and Mayank Agarwal against Bangladesh at Indore in 2019 and the joint most-sixes hit by any batsman in an innings in Test cricket, jointly with Wasim Akram's 12-sixes against Zimbabwe at Sheikhupura in 1996.
  • Yashasvi Jaiswal became the sixth Indian batsman to score a double-century in a second innings in Test matches and the third Indian batsman to score a double-hundred against England in a 2nd innings in Tests after Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and Sunil Gavaskar.
  • Sarfaraz Khan became the fourth Indian batsman to score fifties or more runs in both innings on debut Test match after Dilawar Hussain, Sunil Gavaskar and Shreyas Iyer.
  • India's 430 was their fourth highest score against England in a second innings in Test matches.
  • India's 430 was their third highest score against England at Rajkot in Tests.
  • England's 122 was their seventh lowest score in a completed innings against India in Tests and It is their fourth worst-total in Indian soil in Tests.
  • Ravichandran Ashwin's 99 wickets was the most wickets by an Indian bowler against England in Test matches, surpassing the previous record of 95-wickets by Bhagwath Chandrasekhar.
  • Ben Stokes became the 16th England batsman to appearance 100th match in Test matches and overall the 76th player in Tests, Sachin Tendulkar holds the record for most matches in a career in Tests with 200 Test matches, behind only James Anderson.

India 1st Innings scored 445 for all-out in 130.5 overs with top scorer by Rohit Sharma hammered a 131 off 196-balls - which was his 11th Test hundred and his third century against England in Tests - including 14-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 66.83.


Ravindra Jadeja cracked a 112 off 225-balls - which was his 4th Test hundred and his second century against England in Tests - including 9-fours & 2-sixes.


Debutants Sarfaraz Khan - who hit 62 off 66-balls on his debut Test match - including 9-fours & a six with strike rate of 93.93, Dhruv Jurel - who scored 46 off 104-balls included 3-sixes & 2-fours.

Ravichandran Ashwin cracked a 46 off 104-balls including 3-sixes & 2-fours and Jasprit Bumrah blasted a 26 off 28-balls included 3-fours & a six.

1st Innings England best bowler by Mark Wood claimed a 4-wickets for 114-runs in 27.5-overs including two maidens, Rehan Ahmed captured two-wickets, James Anderson, Joe Root and Tom Hartley each took one-wickets.


England 1st Innings scored 319 for all-out in 71.1 overs with top scorer by Ben Duckett hammered a unbeaten 153 off 151-balls - which was his 3rd Test hundred and his first century against India in Tests - including 23-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 101.32.

Ben Stokes cracked a 41 off 89-balls including 6-fours, Ollie Pope cracked a 39 off 55-balls including 5-fours & a six, Joe Root 18 and Zak Crawley 15.


1st Innings India best bowler by Mohammed Siraj claimed a 4-wickets for 84-runs in 21.1-overs including two maidens, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav both took 2-wickets and one for Ravichandran Ashwin - Jasprit Bumrah.

India 2nd Innings scored 430-4 for declared in 98 overs with top scorer by Yashasvi Jaiswal hammered a career-best unbeaten 214 off 236-balls - which was his 2nd Test double-hundred & also his second double-century against England in Tests - including 14-fours & 12-sixes with strike rate of 90.67.

Shubman Gill hit 91 off 151-balls - who fell nine-run short of his century - including 9-fours & 2-sixes, Sarfaraz Khan hammered a unbeaten 68 off 72-balls included 6-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 94.44.

Kuldeep Yadav scored 27 off 91-balls including 3-fours & a six and Rohit Sharma hit 19 off 28-balls included three-fours.

2nd Innings England best bowler by Tom Hartley, Rehan Ahmed and Joe Root each both took one-wickets.

England 2nd Innings scored 122 for bundled out in 39.4 overs with top scorer by Mark Wood hammered a 33 off 15-balls including 6-fours & a six with strike rate of 220.

Tom Hartley hit 16 off 36-balls including 2-fours & a six, Ben Foakes 16 and Ben Stokes 15.

2nd Innings India best bowler by Ravindra Jadeja claimed a 5-wickets for 41-runs in 12.4-overs including four maidens, Kuldeep Yadav took 2-wickets and one for Jasprit Bumrah - Ravichandran Ashwin.

Ravindra Jadeja earned player of the match for his all-round performance to scored a 112-runs and took seven wickets in an match.
