  • India chased 360 was their highest successful run-chase in One-day international cricket history, previous highest chase was 330 against Pakistan at Dhaka in the 2012 Asia Cup and the second highest chase in ODIs after South Africa chase down 435 against Australia at Johannesburg in 2006.
  • This is the India's first 300 plus successful run-chase against Australia in One-day internationals.
  • Australia's 359 was their joint sixth highest score in One-day international and it is their joint highest total against India in ODIs.
  • India's 362 was their highest score against Australia in One-day internationals, surpassing their previous best of 354 at Nagpur in 2009.

  • Rohit Sharma's 141 was the joint third highest score for India against Australia in One-day internationals, jointly held by Sachin Tendulkar at Dhaka in 1999.

  • 186* : Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli set up the third highest second-wicket partnership for India against Australia in One-day internationals.
  • 108 : Philip Hughes and Shane Watson set up the third highest second-wicket partnership for Australia against India in India in One-day internationals.
  • Virat Kohli hammered a 52-ball fastest century by an Indian batsman in One-day international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 60-ball hundred held by Virender Sehwag against New Zealand at Hamilton in 2009.
  • This is the first instance of Australia's five batsmen were scores of fifty or more runs in their innings - The joint most fifties by any team in an innings in One-day international, jointly with Pakistan made against Zimbabwe at Karachi in 2008 and also It was the first time the first five batsmen had made fifty or more runs in an ODI.


* In 2003 World Cup Final - Australia set the same target of 360, that time India failed to chasing target of 360 against Australia, But this time in 2013 India successfully chase down the 360 for just losing one wicket within 43.3 overs.

Australia scored mammoth total of 359-5 in 50 overs with top scorer by George Bailey blasted a 92 off 50-balls - who fell eight-run short of his century - Including 8-fours and 5-sixes with strike rate of 184.

Phillip Hughes struck 83 off 103-balls including 8-fours and a six, Shane Watson cracked a 59 off 53-balls including six-fours and 3-sixes.

Glenn Maxwell hammered a 53 off 32-balls including 7-fours & a six with strike rate of 165.62 and Aaron Finch scored a delightful 50 off 53-balls included 7-fours and a six.

India best bowler by Vinay Kumar picked up two-wickets and Ravichandran Ashwin took one-wicket.

India chased 362-1 in 43.3 overs with top scorer by Rohit Sharma 141 not out - which was his 3rd ODI hundred and his first century against Australia in ODIs.

Virat Kohli blasted a unbeaten 100 off 52-balls - which was his 16th ODI hundred & his second century against Australia in ODIs - Including 8-fours and 7-sixes with strike rate of 192.30.

Shikhar Dhawan struck 95 off 86-balls - who fell five-run short of his century included 14-boundaries.

Australia best bowler by James Faulkner took one-wicket for 60-runs in 7-overs.

Rohit Sharma named Player of the match for his sensational batting performance to scored a match-winning career-best unbeaten 141-runs knocked off facing 123-balls including 17-fours and 4-sixes with strike rate of 114.63.
