Australian star batsman Adam Gilchrist smashed a match-winning power-packed 122-runs knocked off facing 91-balls including 13-fours and 4-sixes with strike rate of 134.06 helped to Australia chase the 267 against Sri Lanka in best of third final of a VB triangular series.
* Adam Gilchrist hammered a 67-ball fastest century by an Australian batsman in One-day international cricket history, surpassing the his own record of 73-ball hundred against ICC World XI at Melbourne in 2005.
