India's brilliant bowling to Sri Lanka collapses at 98

Coca-Cola Cup triangular one day international series of the 4th ODI match played between India vs Sri Lanka at Sharjah in 1998 - India won by 81-runs.

Sri Lanka skipper Arjuna Ranatunga won the toss decided to fielding first - India opener Sourav Ganguly few minutes in the crease, He goes to pavilion with run out by Marvan Atapattu in the 2nd over.

After another six overs India lost Nayan Mongia got out for 1 off consumed 22 deliveries to caught out by Marvan Atapattu off Wickramasinghe.

Ajay Jadeja completed his wonderful fifty, He was run out by Wickramasinghe, He was scored a 64 off facing 117 deliveries including 2 boundaries and his brilliant batting performance helped to India scored a 179 for All-out in  49.5 overs.

While Sri Lanka chasing comfortable total of 180, India bowler Javagal Srinath start brilliantly his first delivery Sanath Jayasuriya stunned, Srinath big appeal to umpire but umpire given not out, However, Srinath struck in the second delivery to Sanath Jayasuriya bowled out with his bat inside edge to ball hit to the stumps.

After Jayasuriya exit, Sri Lanka consistensly losing wickets -  Avishka Gunawardene (0), Marvan Atapattu (10), Roshan Mahanama (0), Arjuna Ranatunga (9), Romesh Kaluwitharana (0), Thilan Samaraveera (16).

Sri Lanka's fours batsman goes to duck out, other end Aravinda de Silva showed his class four boundaries to scored a 29 off facing 67 deliveries but De Silva not settled to end, He was pavilion caught out behind the stumps by Nayan Mongia off Sunil Joshi.

And India's brilliant bowling attack to Sri Lanka batting line-up collapses at 98 for All-out in the 39th over.

India best bowler by Javagal Srinath took two wickets, Ajit Agarkar and Sunil Joshi both took three wickets but Ajit Agarkar took most important wickets - Gunawardene, Atapattu and Mahanama.

India bowled out 178, India's best bowling performance attack to sri lanka bowled out for 98 and India won by 80 runs.
