Ricardo Powell Powerful 124 to WI clinch the series

Coca-Cola Singapore Challenge triangular one day international series of the final ODI match played between India and West Indies at Singapore in 1999 - West Indies won by 4 wickets.

One of the best and most aggressive ODI hundreds in a run chase which came from 20-year old Ricardo Powell against India in the final of the Singapore Challenge 1999.

Chasing 255 in the final, the West indies were in deep trouble at 67-4 when Powell came in and changed the entire complexion of the game as he launched an aggressive and unstoppable attack on the Indian bowlers right from the word go.

Powell kept dealing in boundaries and sixes and the Indian bowlers had no answer to his rampaging assault. Within no time.

Powell turned the match on its head in favour of the West Indies and in the process brought up his first ODI century off just 72 balls.

Ricardo Powell 124 off 93 balls included 9 fours and 8 humongous sixes at a strike rate of 133 and helped the West Indies win the Coca-Cola Singapore Challenge 1999 by 4 wickets.

Ricardo Powell 124 is the one and only century in his ODI career and his best innings ever in one day international cricket.
