Sensational Rohit Sharma's record-breaking 209, Half-centuries from Shikhar Dhawan and MS Dhoni sets up to India comprehensive 57-run victory over Australia, despite a Glenn Maxwell - Shane Watson's assault & James Faulkner's 57-ball fastest century and clinch the seven-match series with 3-2 in a high-scoring epic game of the seventh ODI.

  • Rohit Sharma plundered 209 - the second highest score in One-day international after Virender Sehwag's 219 and also the second highest-score by an Indian batsman in ODIs.
  • Rohit Sharma's 209 was the highest score by any player against Australia in One-day internationals, surpassing the previous best of 175 jointly held by Herschelle Gibbs and Sachin Tendulkar.
  • Rohit Sharma became the third batsman to score double hundred in One-day international cricket history after Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag.
  • 16 : Rohit Sharma hit the most sixes in an innings in One-day international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 15 by Shane Watson against Bangladesh at Dhaka in 2011.
  • James Faulkner hammered a 57-ball fastest century by an Australian player in One-day internationals and breaks the previous record of 66-ball by Mathew Hayden against South Africa at Basseterre in the 2007 World Cup.
  • James Faulkner's 116 was the highest score by an Australian No.7 batsman in One-day internationals, surpassing the previous record of unbeaten 88 held by Michael Hussey against New Zealand at Christchurch in 2005 and the third highest score by a No.7 batsman in ODIs.
  • Glenn Maxwell equalled a 18-ball joint second fastest fifty in One-day international, jointly with Simon O'Donnell and Shahid Afridi.
  • Glenn Maxwell equalled a 18-ball joint fastest fifty for Australia in One-day internationals, joint held by Simon O'Donnell against Sri Lanka at Sharjah in 1990.
  • India's 383 was their seventh highest score in One-day international and it is their highest total against Australia in ODIs, surpassing the their previous best of 362 at Jaipur in the second ODI.
  • Australia's 326 was their ninth highest score against India in One-day internationals.
  • 709 : This was the fifth highest aggregate match in One-day international and it is the second highest between India and Australia in ODIs.
  • 38 : This was the most sixes in an match in One-day international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 31-sixes between New Zealand and India at Christchurch in 2009.
  • India's 19-sixes was the most sixes by a team in an innings in One-day internationals.
  • Australia's 19-sixes was the joint most sixes by a team in an innings in One-day internationals.
  • 102 : Vinay Kumar became the sixth most runs conceded by a bowler in One-day international and the most runs conceded by an Indian bowler in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of 88 by Zaheer Khan against Sri Lanka at Rajkot in 2009.
  • 112 : Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan set up the seventh highest first-wicket partnership for India against Australia in One-day internationals.
  • 167 : Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni set up the record fifth-wicket partnership for India against Australia in One-day international and India's joint fourth highest fifth-wicket stand in ODIs, jointly with 167 held by Shikhar Dhawan and Dinesh Karthik against Zimbabwe at Harare in this year.
  • 115 : James Faulkner and Clint McKay set up the record ninth-wicket partnership for Australia in One-day international, previously held by the 88-run stand between Shaun Marsh and Doug Bollinger against England at Hobart in 2011 and the fourth highest ninth-wicket stand in ODIs.

India set up the mammoth total of 383-6 in 50 overs with top scorer by Rohit Sharma 209 - which was his 1st double-hundred in ODIs.

Shikhar Dhawan's struck 60 off 57-balls including nine boundaries, MS Dhoni hammered a 62 off 38-balls including 7-fours & two-sixes with strike rate of 163.15 and Suresh Raina scored a 28 off 30-balls with two boundaries.

Australia best bowler by Xavier Doherty took 2-wickets and one for James Faulkner - Clint McKay.

Australia scored 326 for all-out in 45.1 overs with top scorer by James Faulkner 116 - who scored his maiden ODI hundred - including 11-fours and six-sixes with strike rate of 158.90.

Glenn Maxwell blasted a 60 off 22-balls including 7-sixes & 3-fours with strike-rate of 272.72, Shane Watson 49 off 22-balls - who fell one-run short of his half-century included 6-sixes & 2-fours with striking rate of 222.72.

Brad Haddin scored 40 off 49-balls including seven boundaries, Philip Hughes 23 and Clint McKay 18.

India best bowler by Mohammed Shami, Ravindra Jadeja both picked up 3-wickets, Ravichandran Ashwin took two-wickets and one for Vinay Kumar.

Rohit Sharma named Player of the match for his sensational batting performance to scored a career-best whirlwind 209-runs knocked off facing 158-balls including 16-sixes and 12-fours with strike rate of 132.27.

Rohit Sharma earned player of the series for his brilliant batting performance to contributed 491-runs including one double-century and a century with average of 122.75 in the seven-match ODI series.
