Sachin - Sidhu guides to India's first ever 300 plus with win

Pepsi Sharjah Cup triangular one day international series of the 4th ODI match played between India vs Pakistan at Sharjah in 1996 - India scored a first ever 300 plus and India won by 28 runs.

India won the toss elected bat first, Sachin Tendulkar and Navjot Singh Sidhu stand 231-run for record partnership for second wicket.

Sachin Tendulkar played terrific innings, Tendulkar hits glorious shots against Pakistan bowlers, He was scored a 118 off 140 balls.

Navjot Singh Sidhu Played brilliant batting performance to scored a 101 off 117 balls with three sixes and fours.

Sachin and Sidhu's greatest batting performance to India scoring a record total of 305 for 5 in 50 overs, this is India's more than 300 runs in a limited over international for the first time.

305 was India's highest total in ODIs that time. Previous best was 299/4 in 40 overs against Sri Lanka at Bombay in 1986-87.

While Pakistan chasing highest total ever they build good partnership, Aamer Sohail played brilliant 78, Rashid Latif made his half century and his best score in ODI's.

Ijaz Ahmed And Saleem Malik both score 42,  Basit Ali 32 with run a ball, Pakistan failed to chase huge total they all out for 277 in 46.1 overs.

And India bowler Venkatesh Prasad took two important wickets with Saeed Anwar and Inzamam-ul-Haq.

Javagal Srinath took three wickets, Anil Kumble and Sachin Tendulkar took two wickets helped to India secure win over Pakistan and India by 28 runs.

Sachin Tendulkar's named Man of the match award for his glorious 118 off facing 140 deliveries including 8 fours and 2 tremendous sixes.
