Rohit Sharma's record-breaking 140, Half-centuries from KL Rahul and Virat Kohli sets up to India cruising to via DLS method 89-run victory over Pakistan in a rain-affected game of the 22nd match of a World Cup.

  • Rohit Sharma's 140 was the joint sixth highest score for India in World Cup, jointly with Sachin Tendulkar and the highest-score by an Indian batsman against Pakistan in World Cups, surpassing the previous record of 107 held by Virat Kohli at Adelaide in 2015.
  • 136 : KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma set up the joint sixth highest first wicket partnership for India against Pakistan in One-day Internationals, it is joint fifth highest opening stand for India in World Cups and the best opening stand for India against Pakistan in World Cups.
  • India's 336 was their third highest score against Pakistan in One-day Internationals, it is their sixth highest total in World Cups and their best score against Pakistan in World Cups.

India scored massive total of 336-5 in 50 overs with top scorer by Rohit Sharma 140 - which was his 24th ODI hundred, his second century against Pakistan in ODIs, his third ODI hundred in World Cup and his second century in this World Cup.

Virat Kohli scored 77 off 65-balls including 7-fours, KL Rahul struck 57 off 78-balls included 3-fours & 2-sixes, Hardik Pandya 26 and Vijay Shankar 15 not out. 

Pakistan best bowler by Mohammad Amir picked up 3-wickets, Hasan Ali and Wahab Riaz each took one wickets.

Pakistan scored 212-6 in 40-overs - due to rain revised target of 302 in 40-overs with top scorer by Fakhar Zaman struck 62 off 75-balls including 7-fours and a six.

Babar Azam 48 off 57-balls - who fell two-run short of his half-century - including 3-fours & a six, Imad Wasim cracked a unbeaten 46 off 39-balls included 6-fours and Shadab Khan 20 not out.

India best bowler by Vijay Shankar, Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya each took two-wickets.

Rohit Sharma named Player of the match for his remarkable 140-runs off 113-deliveries including 14-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 123.89.
