Brilliant century from Babar Azam and Haris Sohail's half-century after a Shaheen Shah Afridi's three-for helped to Pakistan crushing six-wicket victory over New Zealand and keep their semi-final hopes alive in the 33rd match of a World Cup.

* Babar Azam crossed the fastest 3,000-runs in his 68th innings, finishing behind only South Africa’s Hashim Amla who took 57 innings. The Indian skipper on his part took 75 innings to cross the 3000-runs.

* Babar Azam equalled a joint third most centuries hit for Pakistan in One-day international, jointly with Ijaz Ahmed and Inzamam-ul-Haq.

* 132 : James Neesham and Colin de Grandhommne set up the record sixth-wicket for New Zealand against Pakistan in One-day international, previously held by the 120-run stand between Scott Styris and Nathan McCullum at Auckland in 2011, New Zealand's fourth highest sixth-wicket stand in ODIs and New Zealand's record sixth-wicket partnership in World Cups, previously held by the 91-run stand between Kane Williamson and Colin de Grandhommne against South Africa in this tournament.

* 126 : Babar Azam and Haris Sohail set up the third highest fourth-wicket partnership for Pakistan against New Zealand in One-day international and Pakistan's second highest fourth-wicket stand in World Cups.

New Zealand scored 237-6 in 50 overs with top scorer by James Neesham cracked a unbeaten 97 off 112-balls including 5-fours & 3-sixes.

Colin de Grandhomme struck 64 off 71-balls included 6-fours & a six and Kane Williamsons scored 41 off consumed 69-balls including four boundaries.

Pakistan best bowler by Shaheen Shah Afridi picked up 3-wickets for 28-runs in 10-overs including 3-maidens, Shadab Khan and Mohammad Amir each took one wickets.

Pakistan chased 241-4 in 49.1 overs with top scorer by Babar Azam 101 not out - which was his 10th ODI hundred, his first century against New Zealand in ODIs and also his first ODI hundred in World Cups.

Haris Sohail struck 68 off 76-balls including 5-fours & 2-sixes, Mohammad Hafeez hit 32 off 50-balls including 5-fours and Imam-ul-Haq 19.

New Zealand best bowler by Kane Williamson, Trent Boult and Lockie Ferguson each took one wickets.

Babar Azam named Player of the match for his match-winning brilliant unbeaten 101-runs knocked off facing 127-balls including eleven boundaries.
