Bowlers attack before An unbeaten masterclass century from Martin Guptill, Henry Nicholls half-century and Ross Taylor's unbeaten 45 helped to New Zealand comfortable eight-wicket victory over Bangladesh and take a 1-0 lead in the first ODI.

Bangladesh scored 232 for all-out in 48.5 overs with top scorer by Mohammad Mithun struck 62 off 90-balls including five boundaries.

Mohammad Saifuddin scored 41 off 58-balls including 3-fours and Soumya Sarkar hammered a 30 off 22-balls included 5-fours & a six with strike rate of 136.36.

New Zealand best bowler by Trent Boult picked up 3-wickets for 40-runs in 9.5-overs, Mitchell Santner takes 3-wickets, Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry both took 2-wickets.

New Zealand chased 233-2 in 44.3 overs with top scorer by Martin Guptill 117 not out - which was his 15th ODI hundred and his second century against Bangladesh in ODIs.

Henry Nicholls struck 53 off 80-balls including 5-fours and Ross Taylor scored a unbeaten 45 off 49-balls included 6-fours.

Bangladesh best bowler by Mahmudullah and Mehidy Hasan Miraz both took one-wickets.

Martin Guptill named Player of the match for his match-winning masterclass unbeatean 117-runs knocked off facing 116-balls including 8-fours and 5-sixes.
