Bowlers attack before Half-centuries from Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, An unbeaten 77-run stand between Ambati Rayudu and Dinesh Karthik steers to India comfortable seven-wicket victory over New Zealand and took an unbeatable 3-0 lead to seal the series in the third ODI.

  • India chased 244 was their ninth highest successful run-chase against New Zealand in One-day international and It is their fourth highest chase in New Zealand in ODIs.
  • New Zealand lost their last seven wickets for 64-runs - which was their third worst seven-wicket collapse against India in One-day internationals. They went from 178 for 3 to 243 for all out.
  • 119 : Ross Taylor and Tom Latham set up the fifth highest fourth-wicket partnership for New Zealand against India in One-day internationals.
  • 113 : Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli set up the joint sixth highest second-wicket partnership for India against New Zealand in One-day internationals, jointly 113-run stand held by between Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid at Taupo in 1999.
  • New Zealand's 243 was their fifth lowest score at Bay Oval in One-day internationals.
  • It is the fifth time Ross Taylor dismissals on nervous nineties in One-day internationals and the third most nineties dismissals by an New Zealand batsman in ODIs after Nathan Astle (7) and Kane Williamson (6).

New Zealand scored 243 for all-out in 49-overs with top scorer by Ross Taylor 93 off 106-balls - who fell seven-run short of his century - including 9-fours.

Tom Latham scored 51 off 64-balls including one-six & a four, Kane Williamson hit 28 off 48-balls included 4-fours and Doug Bracewell 15.

India best bowler by Mohammed Shami 3-41, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal each took 2-wickets.

India chased 245-3 in 43-overs with top scorer by Rohit Sharma struck 62 off 77-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes.

Virat Kohli cracked a 60 off 74-balls including 6-fours & a six, Ambati Rayudu scored a unbeaten 40 off 42-balls included 5-fours & a six.

Dinesh Karthik cracked a run-a-ball unbeaten 38-runs including 5-fours & a six and Shikhar Dhawan hit 28 off 27-balls included 6-fours with strike rate of 103.70.

New Zealand best bowler by Trent Boult took 2-wickets and one for Mitchell Santner.

Mohammed Shami named Player of the match for his pace bowling attack to picked up 3-wickets for 41-runs in 9-overs.
