Shaheen Shah Afridi's four-for before Fakhar Zaman's classy 88 and Babar Azam's 46 helped to Pakistan comfortable six-wicket victory over New Zealand and level the series with 1-1 in a low-scoring second ODI.

  • New Zealand's 12-match winning streak finally ended against Pakistan in ODIs, their winning streak started at same venue from 17th December 2014.
  • Pakistan's first ODI win against New Zealand since December 2014.
  • Pakistan chased 210 was their third lowest successful run-chase at Abu Dhabi in One-day internationals.

* Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq started superbly, but the partnership was only broken courtesy a sickening blow to the head that forced Imam-ul-Haq off the field. Lockie Ferguson's sharp bouncer struck into his grille to leave him shaken. While he expressed a desire to stay on, it was clear he needed medical attention.

New Zealand scored 209-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by Ross Taylor smashed 86 not out including three fours and a six, Henry Nicholls 33, George Worker 28, Colin Munro, Tim Southee and Ish Sodhi each scoring the same 13-runs.

Pakistan best bowler by Shaheen Shah Afridi 4-38, Hasan Ali took two wickets, Mohammad Hafeez and Shadab Khan each took one-wickets.

Pakistan chased 212-4 in 40.3 overs with top scorer by Fakhar Zaman struck a run-a-ball 88-runs including 11-fours.

Babar Azam scored 46 off 50-balls including 5-fours, Mohammad Hafeez 27 not out and Imam-ul-Haq retired hurt for 16-runs.

New Zealand best bowler by Lockie Ferguson picked up 3-wickets and one for Ish Sodhi.

Shaheen Shah Afridi named Player of the match for his brilliant bowling performance to claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 38-runs in 9-overs including a maiden.
