Stunning centuries from Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah led to Bangladesh pulled off a famous 5-wicket victory over New Zealand in a historic game of the ninth match of Champions Trophy.

* 224 : Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah set up the record fifth-wicket partnership for Bangladesh in One-day international cricket history, previously held by the 148-run stand between Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim against Zimbabwe at Chattogram in 2014, It is the Bangladesh's record any-wicket partnership in ODIs, previously held by the 166-run stand for the third-wicket between Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim against England at The Oval in this tournament and the second highest any-wicket partnership in Champions Trophy (KnockOut).

* The world called it the mother of all miracles when little Bangladesh beat the mighty Australians in same venue in 2005. Twelve years later, Bangladesh staged a comeback for the ages, winning by five wickets against New Zealand.

New Zealand scored 265-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Ross Taylor struck 63 off 82-balls including six boundaries.

Kane Williamson scored 57 off 69-balls including 5-fours, Neil Broom hit 36 off 40-balls included 3-fours.

Martin Guptill cracked a 33 off 35-balls including 4-fours & a six, James Neesham 23 and Luke Ronchi 16.

Bangladesh best bolwer by Mosaddek Hossain claimed 3-wickets for 13-runs in 3-overs, Taskin Ahmed took 2-wickets and one for Mustafizur Rahman and Rubel Hossain.

Bangladesh 33-4 to chased 268-5 in 47.2 overs with top scorer by Shakib Al Hasan 114 - which was his 7th ODI hundred, his second century against New Zealand in ODIs and his first ODI hundred in Champions Trophy (KnockOut).

Mahmudullah scored unbeaten 102 off 107-balls - who hit his 3rd ODI hundred, his second century against New Zealand in ODIs and his first ODI hundred in Champions Trophy (KnockOut) - Including 8-fours & 2-fours.

New Zealand best bowler by Tim Southee picked up 3-wickets for 45-runs from 9-overs, Trent Boult and Adam Milne both took one wickets.

Shakib Al Hasan named Player of the match for his match-winning superb 114-runs off facing 115-balls including 11-fours and a six.
