Doug Bracewell and Todd Astle's combined 7-wickets before half-century from George Worker, Colin Munro and Ross Taylor's each 49-runs helped to New Zealand cruise five-wicket victory over West Indies and take a 1-0 lead in the first ODI.

* 108 : George Worker and Colin Munro set up the third highest first-wicket partnership for New Zealand against West Indies in One-day internationals.

West Indies scored 248-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by Evin Lewis struck 76 off 100-balls including 7-fours and a six.

Rovman Powell cracked a 59 off 50-balls including 4-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 118, Debutant Shimron Hetmyer - who scored 29 off 42-balls on his debut ODI match - included 4-fours.

Chris Gayle scored 22 off 31-balls including 3-fours & a six and Kesrick Williams 16 not out.

New Zealand best bowler by Doug Bracewell 4-55, debutant Todd Astle - who picked up 3-wickets for 33-runs in 10-overs including a maiden on his debut ODI match and Lockie Ferguson took 2-wickets.

New Zealand chased 249-5 in 50 overs with top scorer by George Worker 57 off 66-balls included eight boundaries.

Colin Munro hammered a 49 off 36-balls including 8-fours with strike rate of 136.11, Ross Taylor scored a unbeaten 49 from 76-balls included 2-fours.

Kane Williamson struck 38 off 45-balls including 5-fours, Tom Latham, Henry Nicholls each scored 17-runs and Debutant Todd Astle - who scored 15-runs on his debut ODI match.

West Indies best bowler by Jason Holder, Andre Russell both 2-wickets and one for Kesrick Williams.

Doug Bracewell named player of the match for his pace bowling attack to claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 55-runs in 8-overs.
