Shai Hope century leads to West Indies crushing five-wicket victory over Afghanistan and clinch the three-match series 3-0 whitewash in the third & final ODI.

This is the tenth time West Indies have whitewashed their oppositions in a bilateral three-match series in One-day international and their first against Afghanistan in ODIs. This is the first time Afghanistan have suffered a clean sweep in a bilateral three-match series in One-day internationals. Afghanistan have now lost their consecutive 12 ODIs, a streak that began with the 2019 World Cup match against Australia. Shai Hope became the highest average by an West Indies player in One-day international, surpassing the previous highest was 47 by Vivian Richards. Shai Hope became the first West Indies player to score a hundred against Afghanistan in One-day internationals.

Afghanistan scored 249-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Asghar Afghan struck 86 off 85-balls including 6-sixes & 3-fours.

Hazratullah Zazai scored 50 off 59-balls including 7-fours & 2-sixes, Mohammad Nabi cracked a unbeaten 50 off 66-balls included 3-fours & a six and Najibullah Zadran hit 30 off 32-balls with 4-fours.

West Indies best bowler by Keemo Paul picked up 3-wickets, Alzarri Joseph took 2-wickets and one for Romario Shepherd - Roston Chase.

West Indies chased 253-5 in 48.4 overs with top scorer by Shai Hope 109 not out - which was his 7th ODI hundred.

Roston Chase cracked a unbeaten 42 off 32-balls including 3-fours, Brandon King scored 39 off 56-balls included 5-fours & a six.

Keiron Pollard scored 32 off 26-balls including 2-sixes & a four and Nicholas Pooran 21.

Shai Hope named Player of the match for his match-winning unbeaten brilliant 109-runs knocked off facing 145-balls including 8-fours and 3-sixes

Roston Chase earned player of the series for his brilliant all-round display in the three-match ODI series.
