Shreyas Iyer thrased 4-sixes and 1-four in a record over for India in one-day internationals during the second ODI match of the 3-match ODI series against West Indies in Visakhapatnam in 2019.

Roston Chase was taken to the cleaners in the 47th over of the Indian innings. Rishabh Pant, who came close to slamming the record for the fastest fifty by an Indian in ODIs, took a one-run off the first ball of the over before Shreyas Iyer took over.

Shreyas Iyer thrased the next five deliveries for 6, 6, 4, 6 and 6 to 31 runs came off the over and never before had India got more runs in an over in the history of One-day internationals.

* 31-runs : Number of runs that were scored in the 47th over from Roston Chase, which was the most productive over for India in One-day international cricket history, surpassing the their previous record of 28-runs against New Zealand at Hyderabad in 1999 and the joint sixth most expensive-over in ODIs.

* Shreyas Iyer scored 28-runs (6, 6, 4, 6, 6) - the most runs scored by an Indian batsman in an over in One-day internationals cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 25-runs held by Zaheer Khan against Zimbabwe at Jodhpur in 2000.
