* New Zealand becoming the first team to dismiss five opposition teams in the World Cup.
Afghanistan scored 186 for all-out in 47.4 overs with top scorer by Najibullah Zadran struck run-a-ball 56 including 8-fours and 2-sixes, Samiullah Shinwari scored 54 off consuming 110-balls included five-fours and a six, Navroz Mangal scored 27 and Hamid Hassan 16.
New Zealand best bowler by Daniel Vettori 4-18, Trent Boult picked up 3-wickets for 34-runs from 10 overs, Corey Anderson took 2-wickets and one for Adam Milne.
New Zealand chased 188-4 in 36.1 overs with top scorer by Martin Guptill struck 57 off 76-balls including seven-fours, Brendon McCullum who scored rapid 42 off 19-balls included six-fours and a six, Kane Williamson scored 33, Ross Taylor 24 not out.
Afghanistan best bowler by Mohammad Nabi and Shapoor Zadran each took one wickets.
