Bowlers attack after Rilee Rossouw's century and JP Duminy's 73 helped to South Africa comprehensive 31-run victory over Australia, despite a fighting knock from David Warner's 173 and clinch the five-match series 5-0 whitewash in a high-voltage game of the fifth ODI.

  • South Africa's 5-0 win was their fourth five-match ODI series whitewash and the first time they're achieving this feat against Australia.
  • 178 : Rilee Rossouw and JP Duminy set up the record fourth-wicket partnership for South Africa against Australia in One-day international, previously held by the unbeaten 131-run stand between Jacques Kallis and Jonthy Rhodes at Port Elizabeth in 2002 and it is South Africa's second highest fourth-wicket stand in ODIs.
  • David Warner's 173 was his second highest score for Australia in One-day international and Australia's highest-scorer against South Africa in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of 164 by Ricky Ponting at Johannesburg in 2006.
  • South Africa's 327 was their fifth highest score against Australia in One-day internationals.

South Africa scored 327-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Rilee Rossouw 122 off 118-balls - which was his 3rd ODI hundred - including 14-fours and 2-sixes with strike rate of 103.38.

JP Duminy struck 73 off 75-balls including 8-fours, David Miller blasted a unbeaten 39 off 29-runs included 4-fours with strike rate of 134.48 and Hashim Amla scored 25 off 22-balls with 5-fours.

Australia best bowler by Chris Tremain, Joe Mennie both picked up 3-wickets and Scott Boland took 2-wickets.

Australia scored 296 for all-out in 48.2 overs with top scorer by David Warner 173 - which was his 9th ODI hundred.

Mitchell Marsh struck 35 off 38-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours, Travis Head scored 35 off 43-balls included 4-fours and Aaron Finch 19.

South Africa best bowler by Imran Tahir, Kyle Abbott, Kagiso Rabada each took 2-wickets and one for Andile Phehlukwayo.

David Warner named Player of the match for his sensational batting performance to scored a whirlwind 173-runs knocked off facing 136-balls including 24-fours with strike rate of 127.20.

Rilee Rossouw earned player of the match series for his remarkable batting performance to contributed 311-runs including two-fifties and a century in the five-match ODI series.
