Magnificent Morne Morkel's four-for after Quinton de Kock's record-equal century helped to South Africa narrow 18-run victory over India, despite a half-centuries from Rohit Sharma - Virat Kohli and wrap up 2-1 lead in the third ODI.

  • South Africa's 18-run win was their fifth smallest victory by terms of runs against India in One-day internationals.
  • 4 : Quinton de Kock equalled a joint most centuries hit by an South African batsman against India in One-day international, jointly with 4-hundreds hit by Gary Kirsten and AB de Villiers.
  • South Africa's 270 was their ninth highest score against India in Indian soil in One-day internationals.
  • India's 252 was their lowest score at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in One-day internationals, previously they scored 316 against England in 2013.
  • 118 : Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis set up the third highest third-wicket partnership for South Africa against India in One-day internationals.

South Africa scored 270-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Quinton de Kock 103 - which was his 7th ODI hundred and his fourth century against India in ODIs - including 11-fours & a six.

Faf du Plessis struck 60 off 63-balls including 6-fours, David Miller cracked a 33 off 41-balls included 4-fours and Farhaan Behardien scored a unbeaten 33 off 36-balls with a boundary.

India best bowler by Mohit Sharma took 2-wickets, Amit Mishra, Harbhajan Singh and Axar Patel each took one wickets.

India scored 252-6 in 50 overs with top scorer by Virat Kohli struck 77 off 99-balls including five boundaries.

Rohit Sharma scored 65 off 74-deliveries including 7-fours and 2-sixes, MS Dhoni cracked a 47 off 61-balls included 5-fours, Harbhajan Singh 20 and Axar Patel 15 not out.

South Africa best bowler by Morne Morkel 4-39, JP Duminy and Imran Tahir each took one-wickets.

Morne Morkel named Player of the match for his pace bowling attack to claimed a 4-wickets for 39-runs in 10-overs with a maiden.
