Luke Jongwe's record 5 for 6, Neville Madziwa and Tendai Chisoro combined 5-wickets after stunning half-centuries from Hamilton Masakadza and Graeme Cremer helped to Zimbabwe crushing 117-run victory over Afghanistan and keep alive the series in a low-scoring game of the third ODI.

  • Zimbabwe's 117-run win was their largest victory by terms of runs in UAE in One-day internationals, previous biggest win by 50-runs against Sri Lanka at Sharjah in 1997.
  • Zimbabwe lost their top five batsmen wickets for just 38-runs - which was their second worst first five-wicket collapse against Afghanistan in One-day internationals.
  • 104 : Hamilton Masakadza and Graeme Cremer set up the record eighth-wicket partnership for Zimbabwe against Afghanistan in One-day international, previously held by the 36-run stand between Sikandar Raza and Tendai Chisoro at Bulawayo in the last year, it is the Zimbabwe's third highest eighth-wicket stand and the fifth highest eighth-wicket stand in ODIs.
  • Afghanistan's 58 was their lowest score ever in One-day international, previous lowest was 63 against Scotland at Abu Dhabi in the last year and the third worst total at Sharjah in ODIs.
  • Luke Jongwe's 5 for 6 was the sixth best bowling figures for Zimbabwe in One-day international and the best bowling figures by an Zimbabwe bowler against Afghanistan in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of 5 for 20 held by Graeme Cremer at same venue in the last year.
  • Zimbabwe's 175 was their fourth lowest score against Afghanistan in One-day internationals.

Zimbabwe 49-7 to scored 175 for all-out in 48.3 overs with top scorer by Hamilton Masakadza 83, Graeme Cremer struck 58 off 75-balls including 3-fours and 3-sixe.

Afghanistan best bowler by Mirwais Ashraf picked up 3-wickets for 20-runs in 8-overs, Dawlat Zadran, Amir Hamza both took 2-wickets and one for Rashid Khan - Mohammad Nabi.

Afghanistan scored 58 for all-out in 16.1 overs with top scorer by Mohammad Shahzad struck 31 off 22-balls including 4-fours & a six.

Zimbabwe best bowler by Luke Jongwe claimed a career-best 5-wicket haul for 6-runs in 5.1 overs, Neville Madziva picked up 3-wickets for 27-runs in 6-overs and Tendai Chisoro took 2-wickets.

Hamilton Masakadza named Player of the match for his spectacular batting display of scoring 83-runs knocked off facing 138-balls including 6-fours and 3-sixes.
