Bowlers attack after Half-centuries from Martin Guptill, Grant Elliott and Brendon McCullum's ODI farewell assault helped to New Zealand comprehensive 55-run victory over Australia and clinch the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy series with 2-1 in the third ODI.

  • New Zealand's 55-run win was their seventh largest victory by terms of runs against Australia in One-day internationals.
  • New Zealand lost their last six wickets for just 23-runs - which was their fourth worst six-wicket collapse against Australia in One-day internationals. They went from 223 for 4 to 246 for all out.
  • Australia lost their last six wickets for just 38-runs - which was their joint eighth worst six-wicket collapse against New Zealand in One-day internationals. They went from 153 for 4 to 191 for all out.

  • Australia's 191 was their lowest score at Seddon Park in One-day internationals, previous lowest was 212 against India in 1990.

* New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum's team-mates honoured him with a rousing defence of 246 at Seddon Park, ensuring their captain retired from ODI matches with the Chappell-Hadlee trophy in his keeping.

New Zealand scored 246 for all-out in 45.3 overs with top scorer by Martin Guptill struck 59 off 61-balls including 4-fours & 3-sixes.

Grant Elliott scored 50 off 62-balls including one-six & a four, Brendon McCullum hammered a 47 off 27-balls including 6-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 174.07, Corey Anderson 27, Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls' each scored 18-runs.

Australia best bowler by Mitchell Marsh picked up 3-wickets for 34-runs in 6-overs, Josh Hazlewood, John Hastings and Scott Boland each took 2-wickets and one for Adam Zampa.

Australia scored 191 for all-out in 43.4 overs with top scorer by Usman Khawaja hammered a 44 off 36-balls including 4-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 122.22.

Mitchell Marsh cracked a 41 off 42-balls including 4-fours & a six, George Bailey scored 33 off consuming 60-deliveries included three boundaries, Steve Smith 21, Matthew Wade 17 and David Warner 16.

New Zealand best bowler by Matt Henry picked up 3-wickets, Corey Anderson, Ish Sodhi both took 2-wickets and one for Doug Bracewell - Adam Milne.

Ish Sodhi named Player of the match for his brilliant spin bowling performance to took two match-turning wickets for 31-runs in 8-overs.
