Bowlers, Soumya Sarkar and Tamim Iqbal guided Bangladesh record nine-wicket victory over South Africa and clinch the three-match series with 2-1 in a rain-shortened, series-decider third & final ODI.
* Rain put the brakes on but could not drown out Bangladesh's chances of beating South Africa for the first time in a bilateral One-day international series and recording a fourth successive series win at home.
South Africa scored 168-9 in allotted 40 overs due to rain overs reduced 40-overs with their top scorer by JP Duminy struck 51 off 70-balls including 3-fours, David Miller scored 44 off 51-balls included five-fours, Rilee Rossouw 17 and Hashim Amla 15.
South Africa best bowler by Shakib Al Hasan picked up 3-wickets for 33-runs in 8-overs, Mustafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain both took 2-wickets and one for Mahmudullah and Mashrafe Mortaza.
Bangladesh chased 170-1 in 26.1 overs with top scorer by Soumya Sarkar 90, Tamim Iqbal cracked a unbeaten 61 off 77-balls included seven boundaries and Liton Das 5 not out.
South Africa best bowler by Imran Tahir took one-wicket for 37-runs from 6.1 overs.
Soumya Sarkar named Player of the match for his match-winning knock of 90-runs off 75-balls including 13-fours and a six. And Player of the series for his spectacular batting display of scoring 205-runs including two-fifties in the three-match series.
