Tom Latham's record 137 and Colin Munro's quick-fire 87 sets up to New Zealand comprehensive 77-run victory over Bangladesh, despite a all-round display from Shakib Al Hasan and take a 1-0 lead in the first ODI.

  • 158 : Colin Munro and Tom Latham set up the record fifth-wicket partnership for New Zealand against Bangladesh in One-day international, previously held by the 89-run stand between Ross Taylor and Jacob Oram at Napier in 2007 and New Zealand's second highest fifth-wicket stand in ODIs.
  • Tom Latham's 137 was the highest score by an New Zealand batsman against Bangladesh in One-day internationals, surpassing the previous record of 108 held by Kane Williamson at Dhaka in 2010.
  • New Zealand's 341 was their highest score against Bangladesh in One-day internationals.

New Zealand scored record total of 341-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Tom Latham 137 off 121-balls - which was his 2nd ODI hundred and his first century against Bangladesh in ODIs.

Colin Munro hammered a 87 off 61-balls including 8-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 142.62, Kane Williamson scored 31 off 36-balls included 5-fours, Neil Broom 22 and Martin Guptill 15.

Bangladesh best bolwer by Shakib Al Hasan picked up 3-wickets, Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed both took 2-wickets.

Bangladesh scored 264 for all-out in 44.5 overs with top scorer by Shakib Al Hasan struck 59 off 54-balls including 5-fours and 2-sixes.

Mosaddek Hossain cracked a 50 off 44-balls including 5-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 113.64, Mushfiqur Rahim retired hurt for 42 off 48-balls included 3-fours.

Tamim Iqbal scored 38 off 59-balls including 5-fours, Imrul Kayes and Sabbir Rahman both scored 16-runs.

New Zealand best bowler by James Neesham picked up 3-wickets for 36-runs in 7-overs including a maiden, Lockie Ferguson takes 3-wickets, Tim Southee took 2-wickets and one for Mitchell Santner.

Tom Latham named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored a career-best 137-runs knock off facing 121-balls including 7-fours and 4-sixes with strike rate of 113.22.
