* 169 : This was second largest victory by terms of runs for India against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

* This waa India’s eighth biggest victory by run margin in ODIs.

*363-5 : This was third highest score for India against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

* This match was the 400th ODI on Indian soil. India became only the second country to host 400 One-day International matches after Australia.

* Suresh Raina was playing his 200th ODI. He became the 12th Indian to reach this milestone (including Zaheer Khan who has played 194 ODIs for India and 6 for Asia XI).

* This match was the 145th between India and Sri Lanka. No other two teams have played this often against each other in ODIs as Sri Lanka - India have played.

* After leading India in 12 ODIs - all outside India – Virat Kohli was captaining India for the first time on Indian soil.

* 231 : Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane set up the India's third highest opening partnership in ODIs and second highest first-wicket stand against Sri Lanka.

* 231 : The Ajinkya Rahane-Shikhar Dhawan partnership is the highest first-wicket partnership for India in India. The pair obliterated the previous record stand of 196 between Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag against West Indies at Rajkot in 2002.

* Suresh Raina completed his 5000 ODI runs. He became 11th Indian to accomplish this feat. Incidentally Suresh Raina is the slowest among Indians to reach this mark, taking 172 innings. Mohammad Azharuddin held the previous record with 170 innings.

* This was the 20th time India scored 350 or more in a ODI – most by any side in ODI cricket history. South Africa had (14) and Australia (12).

India scored massive total of 363-5 in 50 overs with top scorer by Shikhar Dhawan 113 off 107-balls - who struck his 6th ODI hundred - including 14-fours and 3-sixes, Ajinkya Rahane 111 - which was his 2nd ODI hundred, Suresh Raina cracked 52 off 34-balls including 4-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 152.94, Ambati Rayudu scored 27 and Virat Kohli 22.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Suraj Randiv picked up 3-wickets, Ashan Priyanjan and debutant Lahiru Gamage each took one-wickets.

Sri Lanka scored 194 for all-out in 39.2 overs with top scorer by Mahela Jayawardene struck 43 off 36-balls including six-fours and a six, Thisara Perera scored 29, Upul Tharanga 28 and Angelo Matthews 23.

India best bowler by Ishanth Sharma claimed 4-wickets for 34-runs from 8 overs, Axar Patel, Umesh Yadav each picked up two-wickets and one for Suresh Raina - Ravichandran Ashwin.

Ajinkya Rahane named player of the match for his spectacular batting display of scoring 111-runs off 108-balls including 13-fours and 2-sixes.
