Umesh Yadav's four-for, Axar Patel's three-for before 91 from Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli's fifty helped to India crushing six-wicket victory over Sri Lanka, despite a Mahela Jayawardene's masterclass century and took an unassailable 3-0 lead to seal the series in the third ODI.

Sri Lanka lost their middle four wickets for just 14-runs - which was their fifth worst four wickets collapse against India in One-day internationals. 67 : Mahela Jayawardene and Seekkuge Prasanna set up the second highest eighth-wicket partnership for Sri Lanka against India in One-day international and Sri Lanka's sixth highest eighth-wicket stand in ODIs. 4 : Mahela Jayawardene equalled a joint third most centuries hit by an Sri Lanka batsman against India in One-day internationals, jointly with 4 hundreds by Tillakaratne Dilshan. It is the third time Shikhar Dhawan dismissals on nervous nineties in One-day internationals. 136 Innings : Virat Kohli became the second fastest to reach 6000 ODI runs in terms of innings after Hashim Amla's 126 innings. Coincidentally in this match Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan both reached their fifty off exact 50-balls.

Sri Lanka scored 242 for all-out in 48.2 overs with top scorer by Mahela Jayawardene cracked a 118 off 124-balls - which was his 17th ODI hundred and his 4th century against India in ODIs.

Tillakaratne Dilshan scored 53 off 80-balls including 7-fours and Seekkuge Prasanna hit 29 off 32-balls included 2-fours & a six.

India best bowler by Umesh Yadav claimed four-wicket haul for 53-runs from 9-overs, Axar Patel picked up 3-wickets for 40-runs in 10-overs including a maiden, Ambati Rayudu, Ravichandran Ashwin and Dhawal Kulkarni each took one-wickets.

India chased 245-4 in 44.1 overs with top scorer by Shikhar Dhawan struck 91 off 79-balls - who fell nine-run short of his century including 8-fours and a six.

Virat Kohli scored 53 off 61-balls included four-fours & a six, Ambati Rayudu cracked a 35 off 46-balls included 3-fours, Ajinkya Rahane hit 31 off 47-balls with 5-fours and Suresh Raina hit a unbeaten 18 off 23-balls contained a six.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Tillakaratne Dilshan, Thisara Perera and Nuwan Kulasekara each took one-wickets.

Mahela Jayawardene named Player of the match for his masterclass batting display of scoring 118-runs off 124-balls including 12-fours and a six.
