Josh Hazlewood's four-for before Half-centuries from Steve Smith and Shane Watson helped to Australia convincing six-wicket victory over Pakistan and enter into semi-final in the third quarter-final encounter of a ICC Cricket World Cup.
* Wahab Riaz delivered one of the most fearsome spells in World Cup history but Australia, helped by some shoddy Pakistan fielding, weathered the storm and set up a semi-final showdown with India.
Pakistan scored 213 for all-out in 49.5 overs with top scorer by Haris Sohail struck 41 off 57-balls including four boundaries, Misbah-ul-Haq scored 34 off 59 deliveries included 2-sixes and a four, Sohaib Maqsood 29, Shahid Afridi 23 and Umar Akmal 20.
Australia best bowler by Josh Hazlewood 4-35, Mitchell Starc, Glenn Maxwell each picked up two-wickets, James Faulkner and Mitchell Johnson each took one wickets.
Australia chased 216-4 in 33.5 overs with top scorer by Steve Smith struck 65 off 69-balls including seven boundaries, Shane Watson scored unbeaten 64 off 66-balls including 7-fours & a six and Glenn Maxwell scored 44 not out with five-fours and two-sixes.
Pakistan best bowler by Wahab Riaz picked up two-wickets, Ehsan Adil and Sohail Khan each took one wickets.
Josh Hazlewood named Player of the match for his brilliant bowling display of claiming 4-wickets for 35-runs from 10 overs.
