All-round Shakib Al Hasan stars as Bangladesh crushing 87-run victory over Zimbabwe and breaks their 13-match winless streak in the opening ODI at Chattogram.
* Bangladesh won an ODI after 383 days and broke their 13-game hoodoo, cleverly defending 281 on a blanket of dew and causing Zimbabwe to fall 87 short.
* Shakib Al Hasan became the 12th player to take four wickets and score a century in the same ODI.
Bangladesh scored 281-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Shakib Al Hasan 101 - who struck his 6th ODI hundred, Mushfiqur Rahim struck 65 off 72-balls including two-fours and two-sixes, Sabbir Rahman who scored rapid unbeaten 44 off 25-balls on his debut ODI included 3-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 176, Mominul Haque scored 31.
Zimbabwe best bowler by Tinashe Panyangara picked up 3-wickets, Tendai Chatara took 2-wickets and one for John Nyumbu - Tafadzwa Kamungozi.
Zimbabwe scored 194 for all-out in 42.1 overs with top scorer by Brendan Taylor struck 54 off 72-balls including four-fours and a six, Hamilton Masakadza scored 42 off 48-balls included seven boundaries.
Bangladesh best bowler by Shakib Al Hasan 4-41, Mashrafe Mortaza and Mahmudullah each picked up two-wickets.
Shakib Al Hasan named Player of the match for his all-round performance to claimed 4-wickets for 41-runs after scoring 101-runs off 99-balls including ten boundaries.
