South Africa's 218 was their tenth lowest successful run-chase in One-day internationals. 71 : James Faulkner and Mitchell Starc set up the record ninth-wicket partnership for Australia against South Africa in One-day international, previously held by the 56-run stand between Ian Harvey and Andy Bichel at Perth in 1998 and Australia's sixth highest ninth-wicket stand in ODIs. 98 : Hashim Amla and Faf du Plessis set up the fifth highest second-wicket partnership for South Africa against Australia in One-day internationals. 91 : Faf du Plessis and AB de Villiers set up the sixth highest fourth-wicket partnership for South Africa against Australia in One-day internationals.

Australia scored 217-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by Aaron Finch struck 54 off 87-balls including 5-fours.

James Faulkner scored 39 off 37-balls including 4-fours, Mitchell Starc 29 not out, Mitchell Marsh 27 and Phillip Hughes 15.

South Africa best bowler by Dale Steyn 4-34, Wayne Parnell, Morne Morkel both took 2-wickets and one for Imran Tahir.

South Africa chased 221-4 in 40.5 overs with top scorer by Faf du Plessis 96 off 99-balls - who fell four-run short of his 3rd consecutive century including 8-fours and a six.

AB de Villiers blasted a unbeaten 57 off 41-balls including 6-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 139.02 and Hashim Amla scored 51 off 75-balls included two boundaries.

Australia best bowler by Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Johnson and James Faulkner each took one-wickets.

Dale Steyn named Player of the match for his devastating reverse-swing bowling performance to claimed a 4-wickets for 34-runs in 10-overs.

Faf du Plessis named Player of the match for his spectacular batting display of contributing 464-run including three-centuries with average of 92.8 in the triangular series.
