1st Innings England scored a mammath total of  499-9 in 152 overs with top scorer by Ollie Pope 135 not out - who scored his maiden Test hundred including 18-fours and a six, Ben Stokes struck 120 - which was his 9th Test century included 12-fours and two-sixes

Zak Crawley, Sam Curran each scored 44-runs, Mark Wood hammered a quick-fire 42 off 23-balls including two-fours and five-sixes with strike rate of 182.60 and Dom Sibley scored 36.

South Africa 1st Innings best bowler by Keshav Maharaj claimed five-wicket haul for 180-runs in 58 overs, Kagiso Rabada picked up two-wickets, Dane Paterson and Anrich Nortje both took 1-1 wickets.

1st Innings South Africa scored 209 for all-out in 86.4 overs with top scorer by Quinton de Kock 64 not out, Dean Elgar 35, Vernon Philander 27 not out and Rassie van der Dussen 24.

England 1st Innings best bowler by Dom Bess claimed five-wicket haul for 51-runs from 31-overs, Stuart Broad picked up 3-wickets, Sam Curran and Ben Stokes both took 1-1 wickets.

2nd Innings South Africa scored 237 for all-out in 88.5 overs with follow-on - their top scorer by Keshav Maharaj who hammered brilliant fighting Knock of 71-runs included 10-fours and 3-sixes.

Quinton de Kock struck 63 off 139-balls including nine boundaries, Dane Patterson scored 39 off 40-balls with six-fours, Faf du Plessis scored 36 off 123-balls including six-fours and a six,

England 2nd Innings best bowler by Joe Root claimed four-wicket haul for 87-runs from 29-overs and Mark Wood picked up 3-wickets, Dom Bess and Stuart Broad both took 1-1 wickets.

Ollie Pope named Player of the match for his spectacular batting display of scoring 135-runs knocked off facing 226-balls including 18-fours and a six.
