Ricky Ponting's record-equal century and Andrew Symonds' half-century before Brett Lee's record-breaking five-for helped to Australia narrow 18-run victory over India, despite a Gautam Gambhir's fightback hundred in a tight-game of the tenth match of a CB Tri-series.

* 5 : Ricky Ponting hit the most centuries by an Australian batsman against India in One-day international, surpassing the previous record of 3-hundreds jointly hit by Matthew Hayden, Geoff Marsh and Mark Waugh and the joint most centuries hit by a batsman against India in ODIs, jointly with 5-hundrers by Nathan Astle and Sanath Jayasuriya.

* 26 : Ricky Ponting hit the second most centuries in One-day internationals after Sachin Tendulkar's (41).

* Brett Lee's 5 for 58 was his ninth best bowling performance for Australia in One-day international and his fourth best bowling figures against India in ODIs.

* Brett Lee's 5 for 58 was his ninth 5-wicket haul or more wickets for Australia in One-day international, It is the third in the list of most 5-wicket haul or more wickets in ODIs and the most five-wicket haul or more wickets by any bowler against India in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of 3 five-for by Pakistan's Aaqib Javed.

Australia scored massive total of 317-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Ricky Ponting 124 - which was his 26th ODI hundred and his fifth century against India in ODIs.

Andrew Symonds hammered a 59 off 49-balls including 6-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 120.41, Matthew Hayden cracked a 54 off 62-balls included 5-fours & a six.

Michael Clarke scored 31 off 38-balls without a boundary, Adam Gilchrist 16 and Michael Hussey 15 not out.

India best bowler by Sreesanth took 2-wickets and one for Virender Sehwag and Ishant Sharma.

India 54-4 to scored 299 for all-out in 49.1 overs with top scorer by Gautam Gambhir 113 off 119-balls - which was his 4th ODI hundred and his first century against Australia in ODIs - including 9-fours & a six.

Robin Uthappa hammered a 51 off 46-balls including 4-fours & a six, MS Dhoni scored 36 off consuming 66-balls included four boundaries, Irfan Pathan 21, Harbhajan Singh 20 and Virender Sehwag 17.

Australia best bowler by Brett Lee claimed a 5-wicket haul for 58-runs in 9.1 overs, Stuart Clark picked up two-wickets, James Hopes, Nathan Bracken and Brad Hogg each took one-wickets.

Ricky Ponting named Player of the match for his masterclass 124-runs knocked off facing 133-balls including 7-fours and a six.
