All-round display from Ben Stokes' fifty with four wickets, Half-centuries from Ian Bell and Jos Buttler helped to England comprehensive 57-run victory over Australia, despite a brilliant century from Aaron Finch and reduced the margin of defeat in the series to 3-1 in the fourth ODI.

  • England's 57-run win was their sixth largest victory by terms of runs against Australia in One-day internationals.
  • This was England's first win against Australia in ten international matches, since their win against Australia in an ODI at Cardiff in the last year.
  • Jos Buttler's 71 was the highest score by an England No.7 batsman in Australia in One-day internationals, surpassing the previous record of unbeaten 61 held by Michael Yardy against Australia at the same venue in 2011.
  • Ben Stokes' became the seventh England player to score fifty or more runs and taking four or more wickets in a match in One-day internationals.
  • Jos Buttler's 71 runs and five catches in this match - This is the eighth instance of a wicketkeeper scoring a fifty or more runs and collecting five catches in an ODI, and the second such instance by an England wicketkeeper after Geriant Jones hit 71 runs and took five catches in an ODI, also against Australia at Lord's in 2005.
  • England's 316 was their third highest score against Australia in One-day Internationals.
  • Australia's 259 was their second highest score against England at WACA in One-day internationals.

England scored massive total of 316-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Jos Buttler hammered a 71 off 43-balls including 6-fours and 4-sixes with strike rate of 165.11, Ben Stokes 70.

Ian Bell struck 55 off 52-balls including 9-fours, Alastair Cook cracked a 44 off 43-balls included 8-fours and Eoin Morgan scored a run-a-ball 33-runs.

Australia best bowler by James Faulkner claimed a 4-wickets for 67-runs in 10-overs, Daniel Christian, Glenn Maxwell, Nathan Coulter-Nile and James Pattinson each took one-wickets.

Australia scored 259 for all-out in 47.4 overs with top scorer by Aaron Finch 108 off 111-balls - which was his 3rd ODI hundred & his second century against England in ODIs - including 8-fours and 4-sixes, Glenn Maxwell 26, Matthew Wade and Daniel Christian each scored 23-runs.

England best bowler by Ben Stokes 4-38, Tim Bresnan picked up 3-wickets, Stuart Broad took 2-wickets and one for Ravi Bopara.

Ben Stokes named player of the match for his all-round performance to claimed a 4-wickets in 38-runs in 9-overs after scoring a brilliant 70-runs knocked off facing 84-balls including 6-fours and a six.
