* The 153-run partnership between George Bailey and Glenn Maxwell is Australia's highest for the fifth wicket against India and the fifth-highest for them against any team in ODIs.

* Australia have hit 38 sixes in this series - the most sixes ever hit by the side in a bilateral ODI series. They beat their previous best of 34 sixes in a series, also against India, in 2007. With three matches still to be played, they are likely to beat the record for the most sixes hit by a team in a bilateral series - 40 by West Indies against New Zealand in 2012.

* Glenn Maxwell and George Bailey were both out in the nineties, only the seventh instance of two or more batsmen in an innings getting out in the nineties. This was the third such instance for Australia.

Australia scored 295-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by George Bailey 98 - who fell two-run short of his second ODI hundred including 7-fours and 3-sixes, Glenn Maxwell hammered a 77-ball 92-runs included 6-fours and 5-sixes with strike rate of 119.48, Mitchell Johnson scored 25 and James Faulkner 23 not out.

India best bowler by Mohammed Shami picked up 3-wickets, Vinay Kumar, Ravichandran Ashwin both took two-wickets and one for Ravindra Jadeja.

India scored 27-0 in 4.1 overs with top scorer by Shikhar Dhawan 14 not out and Rohit Sharma 9 not out.
