Rapid half-centuries from David Warner and Aaron Finch before Mitchell Starc's three-for and Spinners attack helped to Australia thumping 97-run victory over South Africa and clinch the three-match series with 2-1 in a one-sided game of the third T20I.

Match Stats : Australia's 97-run win was their fourth largest victory by terms of runs in T20 international and it is their second biggest win against South Africa in T20Is. South Africa's 97-run defeat was their second worst by margin of runs in T20Is. South Africa's 96 was their second lowest score in T20 international and also their second worst total against Australia in T20Is. Australia's 193 was their fifth highest score against South Africa in T20 internationals. 120 : David Warner and Aaron Finch set up the record first-wicket partnership for Australia against South Africa in T20 international, previously held by the 76-run stand between Usman Khawaja and Shane Watson at same venue in 2016 and Australia's fifth highest opening stand in T20Is.

Australia scored mammoth total of 193-5 in 20 overs with top scorer by David Warner hammered a 57 off 37-balls including 5-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 154.05.

Aaron Finch blasted a 55 off 37-balls including 6-fours and a six with strike rate of 148.64, Steve Smith cracked a 30 off 15-balls included 2-sixes with strike-rate of 200 and Shaun Marsh 19.

South Africa best bowler by Tabraiz Shamsi, Lungi Ngidi, Dwaine Pretorius, Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje each took one-wickets.

South Africa scored 96 for all-out in 15.3 overs with top scorer by Rassie van der Dussen 24, Heinrich Klaasen 22 and David Miller 15.

Australia best bowler by Ashton Agar, Mitchell Starc both picked up 3-wickets, Adam Zampa took 2-wickets and one for Mitchell Marsh - Pat Cummins.

Mitchell Starc named Player of the match for his pace bowling attack to picked up 3-wickets for 23-runs in 2.3 overs.

Aaron Finch earned player of the series for contributing 111-runs including a fity with strike rate of 146.05 in the three-match T20I series.
