Lungi Ngidi holds nerve as South Africa thrilling 1-run victory over England, despite a rapid half-centuries from Jason Roy - Eoin Morgan and take a 1-0 lead in a high-voltage game of the first T20I.

* Lungi Ngidi bowled thrilling final over with conceded only five runs and took two match turning Tom Curran and Moeen Ali wickets.

* Jason Roy equalled a 22-ball joint second fastest fifty for England in T20 internationals, jointly with Jos Buttler and the fastest fifty by an England batsman against South Africa in T20Is, surpassing the previous record of 27-ball half-century held by Paul Collingwood at Johannesburg in 2009.

South Africa scored 177-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Temba Bavuma blasted a 43 off 27-balls including 5-fours with strike rate of 159.25.

Quinton de Kock hammered a 31 off 15-ball including 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 206.66, Rassie van der dussen hit 31 off 26-balls included 3-fours & a six, JJ Smuts 20 and Andile Phehlukwayo 18.

England best bowler by Chris Jordan took 2-wickets, Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid, Ben Stokes, Mark Wood and Tom Curran each took one-wickets.

England scored 176-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by Jason Roy hammered a 70 off 38-ball including 7-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 184.21.

Eoin Morgan blasted a 52 off 34-balls including 7-fours and a six with strike rate of 152.94, Jonny Bairstow 23 and Jos Buttler 15.

South Africa best bowler by Lungi Ngidi 3-30, Andile Phehlukwayo, Beuran Hendricks both took 2-wickets and one for Dale Steyn.

Lungi Ngidi named Player of the match for his match-winning bowling performance to picked up 3-wickets for 30-runs in 4-overs.
