Kevin O'Brien hammered Rashid Khan for a six on the last ball of the Super Over to give Ireland their first consolation victory over Afghanistan after Rashid Khan struck four off last ball of the match to match-tied in a nail-biter game of the third T20I.

* This is the 19th Twenty20 international match to end in a tie. Ireland have been involved in two of the 19. It is the first tie between Ireland and Afghanistan in T20Is.

* Rashid Khan who had earlier helped Afghanistan tie the match. Afghanistan required 16-runs from the final over and then 13 from the last three balls but Josh Little bowled two wides either side of a Rashid Khan six. With five required from last ball, Rashid Khan scythed the attempted wide yorker over covers to level the scores.

Ireland scored 142-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Gareth Delany cracked a 37 off 29-balls including five-fours and a six, Harry Tector scored 31 off 22-balls included 2-sixes and a boundary, Kevin O'Brien struck 26 off 21 deliveries with four boundaries and Simi Singh scored 12 not out.

Ireland best bowler by Naveen-ul-Haq picked up 3-wickets, debutant Qais Ahmad - who took three wickets on his debut T20I match, Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman both took one-wickets.

Afghanistan scored 142-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Rahmanullah Gurbaz cracked a 42 off 29-balls including 3-sixes and 3-four with strike rate of 144.82, Asghar Afghan struck 32 off 30-balls included 2-fours and a six, Usman Ghani scored 18, Karim Janat 17 and Rashid Khan hammered a 6-ball unbeaten 14-runs with six and a four.

Ireland best bowler by Gareth Delany, Simi Singh both took two-wickets, Barry MacCarthy, Craig Young and Josh Little each took one-wickets.

Kevin O'Brien named Player of the match for his match-winning six off last ball in the Super Over after a scoring valuable 26 off 21 deliveries including four boundaries.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz earned player of the series for his brilliant batting performance to scored 105-runs in the three-match T20I series.
