Stunning centuries from Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli led to India record seven-wicket victory over Sri Lanka, despite a brilliant century from Upul Tharanga and took an unassailable 3-1 lead to seal the series in the high-scoring game of the fourth ODI.

* India chased 316 was their fourth highest successful run-chase in One-day international and it is their highest chase against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

* 316 : This was India's second highest successful run-chase in ODIs and highest ever run-chase against Sri Lanka.

* Gautam Gambhir's 150* was his second 150 + scores in One-day international, his joint highest score in ODIs and also his joint highest score against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

* 224 : Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli set up the record third-wicket partnership for India against Sri Lanka in One-day international, previously held by the 221-run stand between Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh at Colambo (RPS) in this year and India's second highest third-wicket stand in ODIs.

* 224 The third-wicket partnership between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli, This is India's fourth 200-plus third-wicket partnership in One-day international and their sixth 200-plus partnership against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

* 126 : Upul Tharanga and Kumar Sangakkara set up the joint sixth highest third-wicket partnership for Sri Lanka against India in One-day internationals, jointly 126 held by between Athula Samarasekera and Aravinda de Silva at Dhaka in 1988.

* Sri Lanka's 315 was their third highest score against India in One-day internationals.

* India's 317 was their seventh highest score against Sri Lanka in One-day internationals.

Sri Lanka scored massive total of 315-6 in 50 overs with top scorer by Upul Tharanga struck 118 off 128-balls - which was his 7th ODI hundred including 14-fours and 2-sixes.

Kumar Sangakkara cracked a 60 off 72-balls included five boundaries, Mahela Jayawardene scored 33 off 30-balls included 5-fours.


Thisara Perera blasted a 31 off 14-balls including 4-fours & a six with strike rate of 221.43 and Thilina Kandamby hammered a unbeaten 23 off 15-balls included four-fours with strike-rate of 153.33.

India best bowler by Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra both took 2-wickets and one for Harbhajan Singh.

India chased 317-3 in 48.1 overs with top scorer by Gautam Gambhir 150 not out - which was his 7th ODI hundred and his fourth century against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

Virat Kohli 107 off 114-balls - which was his maiden ODI hundred - including 11-fours & a six and Dinesh Karthik 19 not out.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Suranga Lakmal took two-wickets and one for Suraj Randiv.

Gautam Gambhir named player of the match for his match-winning magnificent unbeaten 150-runs knocked off facing 137-balls including 14-fours.
