Kevin O'Brien shocked England with the fastest century in World Cup history as Ireland secured their greatest victory with a monumental 3-wicket victory over England in a high-scoring epic game of the 15th match of a World Cup.

* Kevin O'Brien hammered a 50-ball century as Ireland chased down a target of 328 to upset England by three wickets at the World Cup.

* The result ranks as one of the great World Cup shocks  - taking its place alongside Ireland's victory against Pakistan in 2007 and Kenya's wins against West Indies in 1996 and Sri Lanka in 2003.

* 329-7 : This was highest successful run-chase in World Cups history.

* Jonathan Trott wrote his own place in the record books when he reached 1000 runs in his 21st innings to equal the mark set by Viv Richards and Kevin Pietersen.

England scored massive total of 327-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Jonathan Trott struck a run-a-ball 92-runs including nine-fours - who fell eight-run short of his century, Ian Bell cracked a 81 off 86-balls included six-fours and a six, Kevin Pietersen scored 59 off 50 deliveries with 7-fours & 2-sixes and Andrew Strauss scored 34.

Ireland best bowler by John Mooney claimed 4-wicket haul for 63-runs in 9-overs, Trent Johnston took two-wickets, Paul Stirling and George Dockrell each took one-wickets.

Ireland chased 329-7 in 49.1 overs with top scorer by Kevin O'Brien 113 off 63-balls - which was his 2nd ODI hundred, Alex Cusack cracked a 47 off 58-balls including 3-fours and a six, John Mooney scored a unbeaten 33 off 30 deliveries with six-fours, Paul Stirling, Ed Joyce both scored 32-runs and Niall O'Brien scored 29.

England best bowler by Graeme Swann picked up 3-wickets, James Anderson and Tim Bresnan each took one-wickets.

Kevin O'Brien named Player of the match for his match-winning 113-runs knocked off facing 63-balls including 13-fours and six-sixes with strike rate of 179.36.
