Shikhar Dhawan's maiden ODI century, Rohit Sharma's half-century, Ravindra Jadeja's all-round display and superb fielding helped to India crushing 26-run victory over South Africa, despite a fighting knock from Ryan McLaren's 71* in a high-scoring game of the opening match of a Champions Trophy.

* Shikhar Dhawan became only the second left-handed batsman to score a hundred against South Africa in six years in ODIs.

* 127 : Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan set up the sixth highest first-wicket partnership for India against South Africa in One-day international and India's third highest opening stand in Champions Trophy (KnockOut).

* 124 : Robin Peterson and AB de Villiers set up the second highest third-wicket partnership for South Africa against India in One-day international and South Africa's second highest second-wicket stand in Champions Trophy (KnockOut).

India scored massive total of 331-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Shikhar Dhawan 114 - which was his 1st ODI hundred.

Rohit Sharma struck 65 off 81-balls including 8-fours & a six, Ravindra Jadeja hammered a unbeaten 47 off 29-balls included 7-fours & a six with strike rate of 162.06.

Virat Kohli scored 31 off 41-balls including 2-fours and MS Dhoni 27.

South Africa best bowler by Ryan McLaren picked up 3-wickets, Lonwabo Tsotsobe took 2-wickets and one for JP Duminy.

South Africa scored 305 for all-out in exact 50 overs with top scorer by Ryan McLaren blasted a unbeaten 71 off 61-balls including 11-fours & a six.

AB de Villiers cracked a 70 off 71-balls including 7-fours, Robin Peterson struck 68 off 72-balls included 6-fours.

Faf du Plessis scored 30  off 23-balls including 5-fours and Hashim Amla hit 22 off 15-balls included 4-fours with strike rate of 146.66.

India best bowler by Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishanth Sharma and Umesh Yadav each took two-wickets.

Shikhar Dhawan named Player of the match for his spectacular batting display of scoring a career-best 114-runs knocked off facing 94-balls including 12-fours and a six.
