Tatenda Taibu's masterclass 98 and Craig Ervine's excellent 85 before Three-wicket hauls from Spinners Ray Price and Graeme Cremer guided Zimbabwe massive 175-run victory over Canada in a one-sided game of the 12th match of a Wills World Cup.

  • Zimbabwe's 175-run win was their fourth largest victory by terms of runs in One-day international and It is their biggest win in World Cups. The margin of defeat is also the second largest for Canada in World Cups.
  • 181 : Tatenda Taibu and Craig Ervine set up the highest third wicket partnership for Zimbabwe in ODIs and their fifth largest overall.
  • Brendan Taylor became the third batsman to be dismissed off the first ball of a World Cup match.
  • Tatenda Taibu's 98 is the first instance of a Zimbabwe batsman being dismissed in the nineties in a World Cup game and the 32nd instance overall of a batsman being dismissed in the nineties in a World Cup match.
  • Tatenda Taibu's 98 was his third-highest score in ODIs and his 17th fifty overall. In 14 matches since June 2010, he has scored 564 runs with five half-centuries.

Zimbabwe scored 298-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by Tatenda Taibu 98 - who fell two-run short of his century.

Craig Ervine struck 85 off 81-balls including six-fours and two-sixes, Sean Williams scored 30 off 25-balls included three boundaries, Graeme Cremer 26 and Prosper Utseya 22.

Canada best bowler by Balaji Roa claimed 4-wicket haul for 57-runs in 10 overs, Khurram Chohan, Harvir Baidwan both took two-wickets and one for Rizwan Cheema.

Canada scored 123 for all-out in 42.1 overs with top scorer by Zubin Surkari struck 26 off 48-balls including two-fours, Ruvindu Gunasekera scored 24 and Jimmy Hansra 20.

Zimbabwe best bowler by Ray Price, Graeme Cremer both picked up 3-wickets, Prosper Utseya and Greg Lamb each took two-wickets.

Tatenda Taibu named Player of the match for his spectacular batting display of scoring 98-runs knocked off facing 99-balls including nine boundaries.
