Virender Sehwag's record-breaking 175 and Virat Kohli's unbeaten century sets up to India convincing 87-run victory over Bangladesh in the opening game of a World Cup.

* India's 370 was their ninth highest score in One-day international, It is their third highest-score in World Cup and It is their highest total against Bangladesh in ODIs.

* Virender Sehwag became the first Indian batsman to score a hundred on the opening day of the World Cup history and overall the tenth player in World Cups.

* Virat Kohli became the second Indian batsman to score a hundred on the opening day of the World Cup after Virender Sehwag in this match and overall the 11th player in World Cups.

* Virender Sehwag plundered 175 - the joint fifth highest score for India in One-day international and the joint fourth highest-score in World Cups, jointly unbeaten 175 held by Kapil Dev against  Zimbabwe at Tunbridge Wells in 1983.

* Virender Sehwag's 175 was the highest score by an Indian batsman against Bangladesh in One-day international, surpassing the previous record of unbeaten 135 held by Sourav Ganguly at Dhaka in 2000 and the second highest-score by any batsman against Bangladesh in ODIs after Charles Coventry's unbeaten 194.

Gautam Gambhir cracked a run-a-ball 39-runs included 3-fours and Sachin Tendulkar hit 28 off 29-balls with 4-fours.

Bangladesh best bowler by Mahmudullah, Shakib Al Hasan and Shafiul Islam each took one-wickets.

Bangladesh scored 283-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by Tamim Iqbal struck 70 off 86-balls including 3-fours & a six.

Shakib Al Hasan cracked a 55 off 50-balls including 5-fours, Junaid Siddique scored 37, 


Imrul Kayes hammered a 34 off 27-balls including 7-fours with strike rate of 117.24, Raqibul Hasan 28 not out and Mushfiqur Rahim 25.

India best bowler by Munaf Patel claimed a 4-wickets for 48-runs in 10-overs, Zaheer Khan took 2-wickets and one for Harbhajan Singh - Yusuf Pathan.

Virender Sehwag named Player of the match for his magnificent batting performance to scored a career-best 175-runs knocked off facing 140-balls including 14-fours and 5-sixes with striking rate of 125.
