Stunning centuries from AB de Villiers, Hashim Amla sets up to South Africa thrilling 34-run victory over Pakistan, despite a Shahid Afridi's whirlwind 88 and wrap up 2-1 lead in a high-scoring encounter of third ODI match.

  • Hashim Amla's average of 58.81 is the highest among batsmen with 3000-plus ODI runs. His strike rate is also seventh on the list.
  • AB de Villiers' 128 was the highest score by a wicket-keeper captain in ODIs, improving his own record of unbeaten 125 against Sri Lanka at same venue in the last year.
  • 238 : Hashim Amla and AB De Villiers is the highest ever for South Africa. And highest third-wicket stand in ODIs. Beating Sachin Tendulkar - Rahul Dravid's 237 against Kenya in 1999.

South Africa scored mammoth total of 343-5 in 50 overs with top scorer by AB de Villiers 128 off 108-balls - which was his 14th ODI hundred - including 12-fours and 3-sixes.

Hashim Amla 122 off 113-balls - which was his 11th ODI hundred - included 9-fours and a six, Faf du Plessis hammered a quick-fire 19-ball 45-runs including 4-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 236.84 and Colin Ingram 17.

Pakistan best bowler by Mohammad Irfan, Wahab Riaz both took two-wickets and one for Saeed Ajmal.

Pakistan scored 309 for all-out in 48.1 overs with top scorer by Shahid Afridi hammered a 88 off 48-balls including 7-sixes & 5-fours with strike rate of 183.33.

Mohammad Hafeez hit 57 off 49-balls including 6-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 116.32, Wahab Riaz struck 45 off 52-balls included 5-fours & a six.

Kamran Akmal cracked a 30 off 42-balls including 4-fours, Misbah-ul-Haq hit 28 off 25-balls Included 4-fours and Younis Khan scored 19 off 20-balls contained two boundaries.

South Africa best bowler by Ryan McLaren, Lonwabo Tsotsobe both picked up 3-wickets, Robin Peterson took 2-wickets and one for Dale Steyn - Rory Kleinveldt.

AB de Villiers and Hashim Amla shared the player of the match award.
