Record-breaking half-centuries from Devon Smith, Marlon Samuels and Shivnarine Chanderpaul's 26-ball 41 before Dwayne Smith and Darren Sammy's combined 5-wickets helped to West Indies pulled off a their first T20I win against England by 15-runs, despite a fighting knock from captain Paul Collingwood's 41-ball 79 and take a 1-0 lead in a high-scoring historic game of the first T20 international.

* Marlon Samuels equalled a 25-ball joint second fastest fifty in T20 internationals, jointly with Andrew Symonds and the fastest fifty by an West Indies batsman in T20Is, surpassing the previous record of 30-ball half-century held by Devon Smith in this match.

* Devon Smith became the first West Indies batsman to score a fifty in T20 international cricket history.

* Marlon Samuels became the second West Indies batsman to score a fifty in T20 international after Devon Smith.

* West Indies 208 was their highest score in T20 international and the fourth highest total in T20Is.

* England's 193 was their highest score in T20 international and the seventh highest total in T20Is.

* 84 : Devon Smith and Shivnarine Chanderpaul set up the record second-wicket partnership for West Indies in T20I International, previously held by the 14-run stand between Daren Ganga and Runako Morton against New Zealand at Auckland in 2006, It is the second highest second-wicket stand in T20Is and the joint fourth highest any-wicket partnership in T20Is, jointly 84-run stand held by between (Graeme Smith and Jacques Kallis against New Zealand at Johannesburg in 2005 (Damien Martin and Andrew Symonds against South Africa at Brisbane in 2006).

* 91 : Paul Collingwood and Michael Yardy set up the record seventh-wicket partnership for England in T20 international, previously held by the 49-run stand between Paul Nixon and Jamie Dalrymple against Australia at Sydney in 2007, also England's highest any-wicket stand in T20Is, previously held by the 59-run stand for the first-wicket between Marcus Trescothick and Andrew Symonds against Sri Lanka at Southampton in 2006 and the third highest any-wicket partnership in T20Is.

West Indies scored mammoth total of 208-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Debutant Devon Smith - who hammered a 61 off 34-balls on his debut T20I match - including 7-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 179.41.

Marlon Samuels blasted a 51 off 26-balls including 4-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 196.15, Shivnarine Chanderpaul hammered a 41 off 26-balls included 6-fours with strike rate of 157.69 and Denesh Ramdin 24.

England best bowler by James Anderson takes 2-wickets, Debutant Dimitri Mascarenhas - who took two-wickets on his debut T20I match, Stuart Broad, Michael Yardy both took one-wickets and Debutant Ryan Sidebotton - who took 1-wicket on his debut T20I match.

England scored 193-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Paul Collingwood 79, Debutant Matt Prior - who hammered a 25 off 14-balls on his debut T20I match - including 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 178.57.

Michael Yardy 23 not out, Kevin Pietersen 16 and Debutant Alastair Cook - who scored 15 off 16-balls on his debut T20I match - including 2-fours.

West Indies best bowler by Dwayne Smith picked up 3-wickets for 24-runs in 4-overs and Debutant Daren Sammy - who took 2-wickets on his debut T20I match.

Paul Collingwood named Player of the match for his power-hitting quick-fire fighting 79-runs knocked off facing 41-balls including 5-fours and 4-sixes with strike rate of 192.68.
