Remarkable swing bowling spell from Junaid Khan's four-for before brilliant century from Nasir Jamshed and Younis Khan's fifty helped to Pakistan crushing six-wicket victory over India, despite a Ice-cool MS Dhoni's masterclass ton and take a 1-0 lead in the first ODI.

Match Stats :
  • MS Dhoni's unbeaten 113 was his first century in almost three years, but in the 50 innings in which he didn't score one, he still averaged 49.60 at a strike rate of 85.88, with 12 fifties.
  • India lost their top five batsmen wickets for just 29-runs - which was their fourth worst first five-wicket collapse in One-day international and it is their worst first 5-wicket collapse against Pakistan in ODIs.
  • 73 : MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina set up the highest that India have had for the sixth wickets after losing their first five-wicket for under 30-runs.
  • This is the first time India's top four batsmen have all been bowled in an ODI. It's only the seventh time this has happened to any team in ODIs.
  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar become the 17th bowler, and the second Indian, to take a wicket with his first ball in ODIs.
  • 125 : MS Dhoni and Ravichandran Ashwin set up the record seventh-wicket partnership for India in One-day international, previously held by the 102-run stand between Hemang Badani and Ajit Agarkar at Melbourne in 2004 and the third highest seventh-wicket stand in ODIs.
  • 112 : Nasir Jamshed and Younis Khan set up the eighth highest third-wicket partnership for Pakistan against India in One-day internationals.
  • India's 227 was their lowest score against Pakistan at Chepauk in One-day internationals, previously they scored 292 in 1997 and It is their fifth lowest total at Chepauk in ODIs.

India 29-5 to scored 227-6 in 50 overs with top scorer by MS Dhoni 113 not out - which was his 8th ODI hundred and his second century against Pakistan in ODIs.

Suresh Raina struck 43 off 88-balls including two-fours and Ravichandran Ashwin scored a unbeaten 31 off 39-balls included 2-fours.

Pakistan best bowler by Junaid Khan claimed 4-wicket haul for 43-runs in 9-overs, Mohammad Hafeez and Mohammad Irfan each took one-wickets.

Pakistan chased 228-4 in 48.1 overs with top scorer by Nasir Jamshed 101 not out - which was his second ODI hundred and also his second century against India in ODIs.

Younis Khan struck 58 off 60-balls including 3-fours & a six, Shoaib Malik cracked a unbeaten 34 off 35-balls including 3-fours.

India best bowler by Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 2-wickets and one for Ishant Sharma - Ashok Dinda.

MS Dhoni named player of the match for his magnificent batting performance to scored a unbeaten 113-runs knocked off facing 132-balls including 5-fours and a six.
