Morne Morkel holds nerve as South Africa dramatic 1-run victory over Pakistan and take a 1-0 lead in the low-scoring thriller of the first ODI.
South Africa scored 183 for all-out in 49.5 overs with top scorer by Wayne Parnell 56, David Miller cracked a 37 off 51-balls including 2-fours & a six, Graeme Smith 20, JP Duminy 20 and Lonwabo Tsotsobe 16 not out.
Pakistan best bowler by Saeed Ajmal claimed a 4-wicket haul for 30-runs in 10-overs including two maidens, Shahid Afridi picked up 3-wickets for 37-runs in 9-overs included a maiden, Sohail Tanvir took two-wickets and one for Mohammad Irfan.
Pakistan scored 182 for all-out in 46.3 overs with top scorer by Ahmed Shehzad struck 58 off 92-balls including 5-fours.
Misbah-ul-Haq scored 31 off 49-balls including 3-fours, Mohammad Hafeez 28, Umar Amin 20 and Umar Akmal 18.
South Africa best bowler by Wayne Parnell, Imran Tahir both picked up 3-wickets and two for Morne Morkel - Lonwabo Tsotsobe.
